To fly from New Zealand to Amalfi is a mission and when I first looked at a boat trip up the coast I flinched a little at the cost but did it anyway.
We then went back again, happily paid more as our blended family had grown, paid for a biggie boat and for the second time our day on the water with the team from Amalfi Coast Yacht remains our best memory of our trip to Amalfi.
The boats whichever size you chose will no doubt be great, the scenery, I mean it’s Amalfi, it’s going to blow your mind but the crew this company has provided us with twice now seriously mean your day will be something special.
These guys know and love everything about this special area. They take you to see places you can only see by boat and an aspect of the area you can only appreciate with the distance the boats give you.
We chose the Gianetti 58 our crew this time were Sebastiano and Vittorio and we would book our next trip to Amalfi (we will go again) around their availability.
By the end of the day after seeing the grottos, Capri, all those incredible famous towns you may have only read about, swimming in heavenly water these guys felt like family and we hugged them when we left.
Budget your trip around a day with this company and ask them to add lunch at La Conca del Sogno, you can only access it by boat.
It will be one of the best days you have traveling.

Being able to see and experience Amalfi from the water is just special. We traveled as a group of 8 and spent 10 days in Italy and this was by far everyone’s favorite day. Carmen was so helpful from the initial contact, and when we got on board it just got better.
The boat (58ft Motor Yacht) was beautiful spacious and clean, and we were lucky enough to have a great captain, Maurizio, and two mates, Salvatore and Vittorio. They were able to customize our itinerary based on where we wanted to go which was great.
Within a few hours, they had become part of our family – they were such great hosts, fun to be with, and so informative about the area. We got to see, swim and jump from the coolest spots- all things we wouldn’t have been able to do without them.
We loved it so much we asked if we could rent it again the next day. Unfortunately, they were booked, but we are recommending them to all our friends and will definitely be back and book multiple days next time!!
